Blaz Kutin was born in Ljubljana, Slovenia, where he graduated in ethnology and sociology. He was a journalist and writer, and in 1995 he published a book “The Land of White Doves” from the journals of my travels to Bosnia during the war. Now he is a filmmaker and photographer, currently living in Berlin. He wrote an award-winning screenplay “Lara” and directed a couple of short films and one feature film, “We’ve never been to Venice” (2008), which screened at film festivals around the world. He is currently developing his next feature.

As a photographer, I am making abstracts from hidden motifs around the city. I’ve always believed that macro also hides inside micro, not just the other way around. That dirty containers and old walls contain a world of their own that can be epic in scale. Small as it is, it is usually hidden from our view, but it is there if you look close enough.
