I love the artwork of Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio and the old Dutch Masters. My paintings are oil on canvas and I will soon by trying my hand at painting on panels. I enjoy painting still life and floral compositions; occasionally I will work from a photo but prefer the actual object. I use a glazing method and stick to a basic Dutch palette. I am a late bloomer as an artist, something I always wanted to do but never tried until I enrolled in classes to learn. Now it is a passion.
