I started drawing when I was 6 years old. And I have been doing art work ever since. So I consider myself to be self taught. I love to paint the desert landscapes where I live. I call my work, "whimsical surrealism". My intention is to entertain, and show man's ability to care for and manipulate his environment. I am also fond of applying a juxtaposition of unrelated objects in my landscapes, such as a door to somewhere, or a light switch or floating rocks. I use some airbrush, and will sometimes create an odd shape to work on. Some of my paintings are interactive as well, having actual doors that open to some other place. Being partially color blind, I tend to use bright primary colors to convey my ideas, and daydreams.
