I keep thinking that art isn't that big of a deal as far as I am concerned ... but then my attempts to ignore it are quashed and I find myself with pencil in hand making plans for illustrating whatever my brain has pieced together from odd and rambling observations of life swirling around me. I work in a middle school library, cataloging books and helping the students find a tome that suits them. This requires a lot of reading from the likes of Dr. Suess to Charlotte Bronte. I love it and it also helps feed my imagination as it travels the universe in search of something to confound me as well as the general population.
I hope that what you see here will make you smile. If you can figure out from where these artworks received their inspiration please let me know so I can pass that on to whomever asks.

On Blogging ... I am a novice

A little about me. I am a mom of two. Wife of one. I have asked someone else to be another husband but that is not something that would go over too well with my husband or society. I thought it was a grand idea. I am short and my husband is tall and this other man is tall SO if I needed something tall built I would ask the husbands to take care of it. I also think that the other husband recruit isn't too interested. Oh well, his loss. maybe.
Am I supposed to be writing about my art? Writing about life IS writing about my art. It is what all art is, someone's view of life. Most things I find funny. I am not laughing at anyone but myself and how I missheard something or missunderstood something. Mostly I like life as it is. Yes, I would like to be richer or smarter or stronger. But I shall play with the hand I have been dealt.
And that is art. Fine, fine art.
