Paolo Nonnis was born in Italy and studied at the art school of Cagliari in the island of Sardinia. After teaching Art History and Design for a few years, Nonnis dedicated most of his time to music, leading his Los Angeles based Big Band in the USA and Europe.
In 1993 Nonnis joined a cruise line and for over a decade worked as full time Music Director. Having time on his hands while traveling the world and a love for the Sea brought him back to painting and Maritime art.
Now land based in Italy and Canada, Nonnis’ favourite media are Oil, Scrimshaw, Acrylic, Watercolour and Ink. Currently, he is developing a line of silver jewelry.
