Abstract
I have been creating art since I was a young child. I grew up in Littleton, Colorado and later attended The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. For me, art has become a way of living. It becomes a way of seeing, hearing, and feeling your surroundings. Part of the process in my art making is collecting those images that surround me in my everyday life and using them in what I create.
My paintings are very personal, allowing me to communicate my inner thoughts and feelings I might not typically reveal. In using mixed media materials I can create the opportunities for expression through varying degrees of texture and depth. The great amount of experimentation gives me freedom that I enjoy.
Art is a personal exploration. It allows me to connect with my deepest self and release tensions to reach a more peaceful concentration. I love the feeling of being lost in my imagination.
