I was educated in the sciences,earning my PhD. in the discipline of Virology. I became interested in painting a few years ago and as the years have gone by I have begun spending more time doing what I love.I had much rather complete a successful painting than say,doing research on the H5N1 influenza virus.My favorite painters are the impressionists and post-impressionists, especially Van Gogh.I feel that a painting is successful if it elicits some emotion from the person viewing it.
