Primarily self-taught, much of Gail Daley*s art instruction came from her mother and aunt, both of whom were artists. She also credits lessons on Public Television for helping hone her artistic style and perfect her technique.Proudly calling herself an *Americana* artist, Gail concentrates on the interconnected relationship between man and nature, and the strong bond between humans and animals. Simple images of everyday life, hunting, western, and historical themes dominate her canvases. In Addition, she has a prolific body of Fantasy and Science Fiction art, and has won awards for her animal portraits. Her freeway mural design has been accepted for the local 168 freeway and will be installed in 2007. She also accepts commissions for a variety of different types of paintings. New Art 2011-05-14 Check out my newest painting of Gold Miners in Old California. Ever since my husband took up gold-panning as a hobby, I have been fascinated by the history of it. This is a re-creation of what it might have been like to come to the gold fields of California in 1849. As you can see, some of the prospectors didn’t even unpack their loaded oxen before starting to dig!

I'm going to be on TV! 2011-03-10 I had an interview with Faith Sidlow of Channel 24 (NBC) today at Sierra Vista Mall in Clovis, CA concerning the storefront art galleries I helped set up for the “We Are Fresno” program. The segment will air Monday at 4:00 p.m.PST. Al though she was mostly interested in talking to us about our personal art, Faith did take the information concerning Clovis Art Guild’s Old West Show and the Art sales coming up by the Alliance of California Artists and the San Joaquin Clay & Glass Association. She also took links to the web sites. If you want a copy, set your recorders!
I don't think of myself as an Abstract Artists... 2010-06-10 I don’t think of myself as an abstract artist, but I have been winning awards with my abstracts. I mainly do them for fun because they seem so easy. I can usually knock one out in about an hour or two. However, Aires Rising, Lava Flow and Dragon Breath have all won awards in the last three shows I entered. Isn’t it nice when you can win an award by doing something fun?
