Please allow me to introduce myself. I am an abstract painter here in St. Louis. My name is David Carlson.
These images are created by pouring acrylic paint on masonite. The paintings may be likened to abstracted aerial landscapes. The pouring involves an element of accident as the wet colors interact. After the initial pouring dries I will work up the surface with brushes and re-pour. The final expression is an interplay between accident and conscious intention.
