I am primarily a graphic designer, but I have been painting my whole life. I am taking my art more seriously these days and producing a lot more work than usual. Hopefully it will pay off. I'm sure it will, hard work usually does!

I have been accepted as a juried member of the Prairie Art Alliance. It's official, my art career has begun! They let me hang a piece in a group showing last Saturday. I wore all black to the reception so I looked like a real artist-type. It was fun. My whole family attended.

No one bought the paintings, but I would have been pleasantly surprised if someone had. I will try again in a few weeks.

I just listed two small 11x14 abstract oil paintings on ebay. I started the opening bid on both at $9.99. They aren't really my best work, but I thought the small ones might sell easier. Mostly I just want to see what happens. The auctions will end in less than a week. I'll do another post with the results when they end.
