I was born in Providence, R I. and have been creating art since I was very young. I've received education in fashion design from the R.I. School of Design & thru apprenticeship and have also developed many skills through independent study. Focusing on soft surface design, (i.e. dyeing, painting and embellishing cotton, silk and hemp fabrics) granted me opportunity to diversify my work. My eclectic style includes wearable items(i.e.jewelry, hand dyed silk scarves etc), wall hangings & mixed media collages as seen here. Through collaging, I express my heart & mind freely and strive to inspire and challenge the viewer. Some works shown are available in limited edition, giclee prints that look and feel like original art. They are printed on acid free, 90lb watercolor paper, and coated with UV and art sealant for archival quality. To purchase or ask questions please call or email(ashibey@gmail.com). Credit cards accepted through Paypal.
