I have a BA[Hons] In FineArt and Scultpture. I trained at both Saint Martin's School of Art in London and at Gray's Scohool of Art in Aberdeen.
My work is created through my experience be it a walk or life situation, it is expressed within my art.
I aim to use environmentally sound materials, being wood found or given.
Where materials are purchased I buy environmentally sound paints or paper or card.
Many of my 'works/subjects' are discovered within the wood carved or a painting of a beach or 'walk', I will incororate materials from that environment or experience.
There always seems to be an energy which is beyond me - that which has been discovered through my soul perhaps.
I live with my sculptures and paintings, sometimes they totally enwrap me so that I find it hard to do anyhting else. At other times I am afraid to work on them as i cannot yet see what is to be portrayed, which has arisen through feeling, emotion of experience.
