Karla F. Smith has spent the last 30 years painting in oils, acrylics, and more recently pastels. "I let the subject speak to me and then in turn transpose that lifeblood onto the canvas. Art, if nothing else, should move the individual who is observing it. The end result of an artist's work is to transfer a thing of beauty into the present - forever captured and hopefully enjoyed."
Karla's art has won People's Choice Award, and various other awards in competition with nationwide artists through Wyoming art shows. Subjects: North American Native Peoples, portraits, landscapes (past and present), wildlife, horses, and domestic animals.
