I have been drawing and painting since childhood. I remember winning my first award at the age of eleven. "The confidence and inspiration gained with that award was influential to my life". I have worked with a wide range of media through the years including watercolors, and oils but now work primarily in acrylics. "I love the diversity of acrylics, no matter the mood of the artist or the subject matter of the composition; the application methods offered by acrylics are virtually endless".
I also sculpt in clay, stone, wood, and 2# foam. "Sculpting brings me a sense of peace and serenity, it's a form of therapy, and offers an opportunity for self-evaluation and discovery". Always in search of new materials and methods for self-expression I turned my attention to carving wood, linoleum, and rubber to create finely detailed and expressive block prints.
