Abstract
Art comes along daily for me - it might be in an interaction, the swirling foam in a river, a song that sounds exactly how it should in the moment, a stain made by coffee, or something drawn by my own hand. I don't pretend to know what art is or should be, but I do know that I am drawn to things that amaze me. I make things because I can. If I see my work is affecting others to any degree, then I find it worthwile to keep persuing. Sometimes I come across ideas for projects because situations present themselves. Other times I make the situations. My work reflects my life and my life reflects my work. There is no way to seperate the two. I have to respond to my surroundings. Everything is ever changing. The recognition of this is the recognition that you will never be anywhere. With everything ever changing, I try to see every moment as monumental. I know nothing can be recreated. -No moment, no pen stroke, no spoken word, no interaction- Nothing remains the same. So I respond.
