I have been creating art my entire life. Painting is something that I must do to survive, feel alive, fulfilled.
I am in awe of the great painters of today and the past. I humbly offer my work here among so many wonderful artists.
Born March 21, 1955, in Culver City, California. Raised in Los Angeles. I have resided in Arizona and Texas. I currently live in the East Bay area of Northern California.
I paint directly from inspiration. Although, I try to stay true to the basic concepts that make artwork appealing to the viewer, I allow the paint to take over and lead me on a journey.
I began painting landscapes in a realistic although loose manner. In 2005, I began a series of paintings from Latin Clubs. (I'm an avid Salsa dancer). I refer to this as the Summer of 2005 series.
Recently, I have been experimenting with new techniques and vivid colors.

Online Juried Art Exhibitions - Scams or Safe

I've been trying to get my work out...and entered some online juried art competitions. Some are obviously reputable names and other sites are smaller venues created by artists for artists.
I'm wondering what is the best way to make sure my entrance fee isn't just feeding into someone's bank account.
