I have a B.A. in Fine Art from the University of Southern Indiana. I have also studied art at the University of Evansville, photography at Ivy Tech Community College and faux finishing with the world renowned Martin Alan Hirsch at the Decorative Finishes Studio in Louisville, KY.
I consider myself to be a contemporary realist, in which magical elements or illogical scenarios appear in an otherwise realistic or even "normal" setting. I make a conscious effort to be spontaneous and painterly or precise and methodical, often within the same work.
