Abstract
Artist Statement
"I paint emotions". Each painting is a grand experiment in form and technique, an evolution in method and materials that reduces the complexity of nature into basic forms of color and texture, creating a personal experience between the viewer and the image. Within each work lies a larger reality, a greater truth, that all perception, all memories, all feelings of nostalgia, are based on and evoked by the interplay of color and texture. Drawing inspiration from the present and the past, incorporating the four elements of earth, air, fire, and water, weaving time and space into a fluidic vision of reality where man and nature exist in harmony.
