I was born in Papua New Guinea in 1964 whilst my parents were working there for the former London Missionary Society. I lived there for a number of years before returning to England. I work with oil on canvas and my work is mainly figurative. I find the human form fascinating and am particularly interested in the play of light upon the face and body: clothed or naked. There are also elements of tribal art in some of my work which stems back to my childhood and an interest in my birthplace.
Living in the Netherlands inspired me to begin painting professionally. Whilst there, I have exhibited in Bergen North Holland and in IJmuiden.
Recent projects include several commissions and these include both portraits and figurative work..
