Painting and living in The New Jersey Shore area, Rick has always had an affinity with the arts . Earlier in his career , he worked as a singer/drummer with some writing and recording even at the landmark Record plant in NYC ... then after a meeting with a businessman , who saw his early sketches. Then His passion for fine art ignited, from there he studied on his own, reading the lives and letters of Vincent Van Gogh and many other painters who left their mark on us , and of course from life , travel, and experience he gained a wealth of knowledge. Then through a metamorphosis , Rick became a painter, launching out to capture and render the beautiful world that surrounds us. Some of the themes you will see reflected in his paintings have been influenced by the towns , villages , cities, and rural countryside he has visited. His Paintings are in homes as far north as Quebec City , Saint Antoine sur Richelieu in Canada , and throughout the U.S. from the East to the West...

HEY RICK,
IT HAS BEEN SOME TIME SINCE I HAVE LAST WROTE TO YOU. THERE HAS BEEN QUITE A CHANGE ON MY ARTISTSITES SITE SINCE I HAVE REDID IT. THERE ARE DIFFERENT PICTURES - ALL ORIGINALS. AS I WAS PUTTING ON NEW PICTURES, I MADE A MISTAKE ON DELETING SOME OF THE PICTURES THAT I WANTED TO KEEP ON MY SITE.
I, TOO, LIKE THE PICTURE OF CHRIST ON THE CROSS - WHICH REMINDED ME OF THE MOVIE "THE PASSION" BY MEL GIBSON. THE SOUTHERN EXPOSURE IS ANOTHER ONE OF MY FAVORITES.
