Glass-
Abstract
I first began my lifelong addiction with glass at the age of fourteen. I worked under the guidance of Tom Morterelli. During that time period there was no annealing with ovens and I only worked with clear Pyrex glass. I was offered a job at eighteen in Florida teaching other glassblowers techniques I had learned. I eventually found my way to Houston and worked in a glass shop there and demonstrated my art at Astroworld.
I returned to Indiana and worked wholesale and retail accounts. I did work for Notre Dame as well as St. Mary’s I have traveled and participated in many art shows. My artwork has been on display in Midwest art galleries I have received education awards as well as contributing time and artwork for many charities. I taught myself how to work with colored glass and focused on one of a kind artwork. I’ve adapted new techniques along with old to create truly original art. Presently, I focus on portraying grace and beauty in my glass designs.
