I am a Idaho artist, who is inspired by the beauty of nature.
I started with pencil drawings as a young girl. Horses were always my favorite subjects, I loved the wildness and freedom of their beauty.
The big cats have since taken hold of my heart. So wild, full of life, so powerful and yet so gentle.
Lately I have fallen in love with painting.
I have two goals for my paintings.
I would like to paint a series of tiger paintings and hope to donate part of the money of any I sell to help save the endangered tigers. I am told that they will be gone from the wild within 10 years time, which makes me very sad.
My other goal, I would like to do a mother/baby series with all different breeds and species of the animal kingdom. I love the feeling I get when I see a mother and the undying love she has for her baby, this seems to be a connection that all mammals share.
Oil paintings on a Sand Dollar
Two new oil paintings on a Sand Dollar to share with you all!
4 More ACEO's added
Hello to my loyal fans out there! I just added 3 Dolphin ACEO's and a Mermaid ACEO. If you get a chance, stop on by and take a peek! I appreciate you!
Sea Turtle has been sold, but the other two oil paintings are still available. I have also added a couple prints of my Manatee, and frog paintings if any are interested!
~Under the Sea~
My ACEO group did a theme this month of Under the Sea, which got me to thinking as I painted. What an amazaing still totally undiscovered world exists under the sea. I want to go scuba diving!
En Plein Air
My first "En Plein Air" experience painting was in May at the Oregon Coast. I love it! It felt so good to be out in the sunshine and fresh salty sea air, with the sound of the surf to inspire my hand as I painted!

Linda, Your Manatee is great! So are those eyes on the Wild One! Keep up the good work! Jan G
Linda, thank you very much for stopping in and commenting on my work. I think donating work is a wonderful and fantastic thing. I've done so myself on a few occasions where the proceeds went to the WetCanvas! Tsumani Relief Auction and an "Art on Chairs" Auction in El Paso, held at the Avant Studio and Gallery for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Fund. I find that events such as these really pull the best out in Artists not only all over the world, but also within local boundaries as well. Art and generosity go together very well!! Your work is very nice and I look forward to seeing more of your work. - Tina
Your a natural great creator!! Your Manatee is so beautiful, your hands and visions are gifts!!

Dear Linda - thanks for your kind comments on my work. I LOVE "Here's Look'n At You" - the complimentary colors and 'wetness' of the frog makes him seem to jump off the page!
