The story of the Sun Catchers…
Hi, my name is Lisa and I’m a grateful recovering alcoholic. It took me a very long time to say those simple words, but I can now say them with complete peace and honesty.
Alcohol took everything from me, it stole the most precious moments of my life, and caused me great pain and sorrow, ravaged through my family and friends, and finally brought me to my knees. When I was intoxicated and in my drunken stupor I broke things, precious things, things that meant so much to me, later when I came out of another blackout I saw the destruction, a thousand broken pieces. Heartbroken once again that I had smashed these precious items, I gathered all the pieces together and tried to put them back together with glue, I could never restore them back to what they were, they were broken, like me, broken in a thousand pieces.

I can make several different things as you can see. If you have something in mind I can make something out of broken pieces, ie, jewerly, paintings, wood figures, etc. If you have an ideal or would like something special you can special order. Every piece I make is handcrafted with precious love, a reflection of how beautiful life can be, how the Sun reflects off the mirrors in our lives, and how beauty can be found in a thousand broken pieces. No two items are alike, like us we all have different journeys. I wish you well on your journey through life, for it is a gift, and love is the treasure. |
