Painting and making art is about finding new and interesting ways of exploring the world, ourselves and the way that we make art. Like all artist I know that I need to keep my art fresh and vibrant, to push on the boundaries and explore other media, methods, surfaces and ways of making art interesting, dynamic and more exciting to everyone.
I finally sat down and started to think how I should approach this challenge and decided to do a list 50 simple painting ideas of things I could do, that would energise my artwork, making my art more interesting and thrilling.
Making a list is 50 great, fun and simple creative ideas was however far more difficult than I expected as they are designed to challenge not just my mind and perceptions about ART but to break away from the traditional mediums I use to create my modern and abstract paintings. By having fun with art and not taking it to seriously I came up with a wealth of solutions allowing me to focus more clearly on Painting brilliant images and art..

Being an artist requires a lot from me and painting I have realised is only one small part of what I do... Writing articles about modern art and abstract painting and business on Hubpages allows me to gather my own thoughts and focus on art, painting and research all of which means that making modern art remains Fun and exciting.
I have just written my best Hubpages article to date. the article is entitled "How to paint a better picture" despite how the title sounds its not about painting skills or style but rather how I as a modern artist deal with the problem of focus and objectivity within my art.
