Artist Statement

My artwork reflects my interests in the human condition and the consciousness of being. My style and imagery often combine crude, elegant, humorously kitschy, yet serious elements. These opposing sensibilities define the complex fusion and duality in human identity and relationships.

My current body of work merges people with toys or games that reflect the interaction between human relationships, role play and identity. Figures interact with toys and game pieces and often become them, subject to manipulation like the players in a game.
